For example, fittings with LOCK-O-RING Flanges are installed on the line during construction.
Later, when branch connections are needded, valves can be installed on the fitting and Lock-O-Ring Plugs removed with hot tapping machine.
In some cases, Lock-O-Ring Flanges and Plugs entirely eliminate the need for permanent valves .
